Decorative Rock Installation & Settlement Repair in Calgary
This Calgary project involved several connected outdoor zones where existing decorative rock had settled, shifted, or needed new weed barrier beneath it.
The side yard by the garbage bins required existing rock removal, new weed barrier, rock reinstallation, added rock, and leveling.
The side yard refill area had low sections that were built back up where needed, then graded and leveled for a cleaner finish.
The walkway area included removing and reinstalling stepping stones so the path could be re-leveled properly.

What We Did
The project required careful sequencing: remove rock where needed, install weed barrier, correct settled low areas, reset hardscape pieces, and blend new rock into existing landscape zones.
Removed existing rock from selected side yard and walkway areas
Installed new weed barrier in the side yard and flower bed areas
Reinstalled existing rock where it could be reused
Added new rock to low and settled areas
Built up low sections where required
Removed and reinstalled stepping stones
Supplied and placed Tan Rock in the left-side front bed
Supplied and distributed Montana Rainbow Rock in the side yard refill area
Completed final grading and leveling across the repaired areas

The project touched several separate zones. Each row keeps that zone together with its before, progress, and finished photos instead of mixing front, walkway, and side yard images in one sequence.

The left-side front bed was cleaned up, leveled, and refreshed with Tan Rock as the front-yard scope for this project.

The side yard refill area was corrected with weed barrier, additional rock, redistribution, and final leveling where the decorative rock had settled.

Project Details
Project Zones and Materials
The scope covered the left-side front bed, side yard refill area, and walkway zone. Each area needed a slightly different combination of rock handling, weed barrier, refill, and leveling.
Side yard rock handling
Existing rock was removed, weed barrier replaced, rock reinstalled, new rock added, and the area leveled.
Side yard refill and leveling
Low areas were supplied with additional rock, built up where required, and final graded.
Stepping stone walkway repair
Stepping stones were removed, reset, and re-leveled with fresh weed barrier and rock.
Tan and Montana Rainbow Rock
The project included Tan Rock for the left-side front bed and Montana Rainbow Rock for side yard refill.
Final Result
The finished project made the side yard refill area, walkway, and left-side front bed look cleaner and easier to maintain.
Replacing weed barrier, topping up settled zones, and resetting the stepping stones helped the landscape function better while keeping the decorative rock finish consistent.
