Backyard & Side-Yard Gravel Grading in Calgary
This Calgary project combined backyard gravel grading with side-yard access-area grading. The side-yard photos show the before-and-after sequence, while the backyard photo shows the finished crushed-gravel result.
Nika Terra leveled, shaped, and established drainage away from the house toward the rear fence line and lake-side drainage corridor.
The project also included compact-equipment material handling and customer-supplied crushed gravel placement across prepared backyard and side-yard surfaces.

What We Did
The job combined grading accuracy with material handling. The goal was a cleaner, more functional backyard and side-yard gravel area that supported drainage instead of trapping water near the home.
Rough graded existing soil and yard-access areas
Completed final grading through the backyard and side-yard work areas
Shaped prepared surfaces to direct water away from the house
Maintained drainage toward the rear fence line and lake-side drainage corridor
Placed customer-supplied crushed gravel across prepared backyard and side-yard surfaces
Spread and blended the gravel into the finished gravel areas
Used compact equipment for residential backyard and side-yard access
Left the gravel area ready for the next phase of the landscape plan
